Forge actors end of year photo

The Forge Initiative has reached the last chapter of this year's programme and we couldn't be more proud of our actors, their hard work and their achievements over the last year.

All year long the actors, writers and directors on our one-year practical theatre programme were taught by experienced, industry-leading practitioners who equipped them with the skills to create their own work, set up viable companies and survive in this increasingly challenging industry.

Having completed all our carefully designed modules, The Forge Initiative actors are now left with productions that they will be taking on tour to Clapham and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals this Summer. They have just toured their show The Hitchikers Guide to Guildford at The Guildford Fringe Festival which was a huge success, making it to the front page of Surrey's newspaper - Get Surrey:

Our actors have also recently completed their final year Showcase - you can check out the photos in our gallery: tfi.london/gallery.

They also successfully directed, produced, edited and acted on short films, created in just two weeks, including She which you can watch here.

We've had some really lovely feedback from our actors with great testimonies of their experience on the programme:

Laura LawrenceLaura Hall, who will be taking part at the Clapham Fringe Festival in October, said:

“The Forge Initiative has given me the confidence and excitement to go out and write my own work and follow so many, previously unknown, avenues of the acting industry.”

Adantes VieiraAdantes Vieira, who moved from Portugal to pursue his career in acting, said:

"I’ve learnt a great deal with amazing tutors from different areas and backgrounds. The Forge Initiative prepared me physically, mentally and intellectually to face the real world.”

Maddie O'BrianMaddie O'Brian, who has secured a place at ALRA on their three year acting course, said:

“Without The Forge Initiative I would never have got into ALRA.”

The Forge Initiative is now looking for motivated, driven applicants who want to take control of their acting career on our One-Year Practical Theatre Programme or with our short courses, leaving at the end with shows they have created themselves to take on tour.
