Ryan Layson

ryan headshotBefore starting The Forge Initiative, Ryan was working in a phone shop. Now, he's still working in the phone shop but only part-time. The programme has taught him more in a year than he thought feasible, from physical theatre to how to create his own musical. It's also strengthened and reinforced his love for Shakespeare. Ryan is also now a founding member of two production companies born from The Forge Initative: Rocksalt Productions and Tickled Gecko. He is performing at the Guildford Fringe at the end of July with his graduating year group in The Hitchhikers Guide to Guildford.

After the course, Ryan aims to make the leap and move to London and has 3 projects planned by the end of the year: A reprise of Henners at the Clapham Fringe Festival, a low budget feature about The Flash, and a play at the London cinema museum about Charlie Chaplin.

Adantes Vieira

nuno headshotAfter this amazing year at The Forge Initiative, Adantes feels much more confident to bring his ideas live either on stage or screen. The variety of skills he learnt throughout the year such as writing, acting, directing, filming, DOP; to name but a few, gave Adantes the knowledge, vision and experience of how things work in theatre and film, especially in the UK.

Adantes aims to start working on his own plays and gradually incorporate artists from different nationalities and backgrounds including musicians, painters, sculptures and dancers. He will also be looking to merge with co-productions and partnerships to support his productions which will enrich and broaden his horizon significantly. Adantes´ work will be a mixed focus of physical theatre with live music, dance and Portuguese poetry with a strong holistic approach. He is performing at the Guildford Fringe at the end of July with his graduating year group in The Hitchhikers Guide to Guildford.
