The Forge Initiative Actors
Full-time actors must attend all regular classes at the appropriate hours specified on the course information. Additional evening/weekend rehearsals and performances may be required, unavailability may result in limited casting opportunities.

Actors on the programme should note that the faculty at The Forge Initiative may change each year. Please be advised that the dates given for course modules may also be subject to change.
If an actor is unable to attend the programme for any reason, they should inform the Director immediately via The Forge Initiative's contact details.
In the event The Forge Initiative considers an actor's attendance to be unsatisfactory, the Director reserves the right to ask that student to leave the programme. In all cases the decision of the Director is final.
All actors are expected to complete a physical & vocal warm up each morning before starting any session/day.
Any medical conditions must be made known to the Director or appropriate module leader in writing. If any actor develops a medical condition while on a course, details in writing should immediately be communicated to the Director or appropriate module leader. If it becomes such that an actor is unable to continue on the course satisfactorily, the Director reserves the right to require the actor to leave the programme.
Actors on the programme are not permitted to give interviews to the press, radio or TV during their training without first obtaining the permission of the Director.
Actors are expected at their own expense to make provision for such items as play texts, scripts, photocopying, sheet music, theatre trips, travel costs, etc.
Actors should be aware that classes/training may take place at locations other than the Forge Initiative's regular base in Paddington Arts.
The Forge Initiative uses a number of Fringe venues and public spaces and while every effort is made to ensure places are clean to the best of our ability we cannot guarantee public venues are allergen free and accept no liability whatsoever for this, actors are required to take full responsibility for this themselves.
The Forge Initiative accepts no liability for injury to any actor attending the programme or any course-related activity.
Actors should be advised that being unable to work & perform in public venues due to illnesses or allergens may limit casting/performance opportunities.
Any actor who wishes to withdraw from a programme should give notice of withdrawal in writing to the Director of The Forge Initiative. The actor will not receive any refund for course fees.
Course deposits are not refundable but this deposit does count towards your overall course fees. Should an actor not attend a course after already paying the course deposit, the deposit remains non refundable but may be transferable to the following year at the Director's discretion.
Actors are not permitted to commence any course unless all fees due are paid in full at the start of each course.
Please note that in the event any course is cancelled for any reason no fees already paid will be refunded. Anyone wishing to abandon the programme over the course of the year, will be liable to complete full payment of the programme.
Any charges incurred by The Forge Initiative in respect of the payment of fees will be passed on to the actor responsible. We reserve the right to make a charge of 10% interest on late payment of any fees.
Actors at The Forge Initiative are expected to adhere to all regulations and any new regulations the programme introduces.
In the event an actor on the programme is considered to be in breach of any of The Forge Initiative's Terms and Conditions and any other regulations, is disruptive or likely to bring the name of The Forge Initiative into disrepute, the Director reserves the right to immediately exclude any such actor.
The Forge Initiative accepts no liability for the loss or damage to an actors' personal possessions.
Damage or loss of property or materials belonging to The Forge Initiative hired/borrowed by actors on the programme must be paid for by the actor or actors concerned.
The Forge Initiative shall not be liable for failure or delay in the performance of any obligations or be liable to return fees because of its inability to perform these obligations attributable to acts or omissions such as events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, or other natural disasters; war, armed conflict, terrorist attack, civil riots, explosion, accidental damage, collapse of building structures, failure of utility services etc.
The Forge Initiative reserves the right to alter, amend, substitute any course or part thereof as reasonably required at the discretion of the Director.
Any recorded material by actors or tutors for teaching and class work purposes remains the property of The Forge Initiative.
Actors on the programme must keep The Forge Initiative's administration fully informed of their current address and contact details at all times.
