Marcus J. Richardson has created award-winning shorts and series, which have had success globally. His work has screened multiple times at Raindance, and, in 2015, his short film, After Eric - Part of That World, won a SOFIE Award for Best Comedic Short in New York, the ABC Cellar Award at the This is England Festival in Rouen France, the Award for Best Comedy at the Sunderland Shorts festival, and also the award for Best Short Film at the London Rolling Film Festival IV. It has screened at various festivals around the world including DC Shorts in Washington DC, and is still to visit Germany and South Africa for independent festivals in 2016.
Marcus' web series, Chuggers, has also had success globally, screening at numerous festivals in the US, as well as being distributed by Syncbak to independent networks, currently in Michigan and Washington State, where it has transferred to TV. Chuggers Season 1 has been nominated for 14 awards including Best Director of a Comedy Series at the LA Webfest, where it also picked up three other awards for Best Lead Actor (Matt Ralph), Best Comedy Series and Best Guest Performance (Lloyd Thomas). Season 2 begins shooting in spring 2016.
Later in 2016, The Hunt, produced by Door9, will be Marcus' latest web series. This is a four-part drama, and is currently in post-production.
